Just ONE function!!!!
We often need to calculate running totals or cumulative sums in our data. It's a fundamental skill, but how efficiently can you do it?
Here's the challenge:
Look at the data snippet below (imagine this is your sheet!). We need to calculate the "Daily cumulative amount" in column D, based on the "Deposited amount" in column C.
The goal is to enter just ONE function in cell D3 and then use the fill handle to automatically calculate the cumulative sum for all the cells below.
Like this:
D3 should show the value of C3 (4000)
D4 should show C3 + C4 (4000 + 9000)
D5 should show C3 + C4 + C5 (4000 + 9000 + 6000)
...and so on, all by dragging down the formula from D3!
What single function would you use in D3 to achieve this?
