Hi everyone! I'm excited to share our next Excel challenge, which came from a problem a friend at work had.

Look at the picture attached. My friend gets employee attendance data like this. The big problem is that the overtime (OT) numbers in the sheet look like numbers, but Excel treats them like text! 😩 This causes errors when he tries to add them up, making it very hard to calculate the total OT.

I've already given him a way to solve it, but now it's YOUR turn to show your skills! ✨ I'm really keen to see how you would fix this. What simple Excel formulas or tricks would you use to change those text numbers into real numbers so you can add them up correctly?
