Hey Excel friends! 👋 A connection reached out with this real-world problem (see images below ⬇️), and I thought it’s perfect to share with our community!
🎯 The Challenge
Your goal is simple:
One formula for the "Count" column (Column C).
When a product is selected in cell I3 (e.g., "TV"), the formula should:
Show 1 for the first instance of that product.
Show 2 for the next instance, 3 for the next, and so on.
Leave other rows blank (for non-selected products).
Example: If "TV" is picked, the count should look like Image 2 👇.
